CV: Francisco Javier Saiz Rodríguez (1960) is Industrial Engineer (1986) and PhD of Industrial Engineer (1992) by the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (Spain). Currently, he is Professor of Electronic Technology in the mentioned university. He has participated in numerous research projects financed by public funding. He has published 17 papers in international journals with high impact factor and more than 120 papers in national and international congresses. He has developed an important task of knowledge transfer with more than 20 projects in collaboration with companies. He stayed at Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, EEUU) with a post-doctoral fellowship. He has directed or co-directed 6 doctoral theses and nowadays he is responsible for other 7 theses. He has been member of organizer committees from numerous congresses both national and international and he was the president of the organizer committee of the XVI National Congress of Biomedical Engineering and the 33rd Annual Conference Computers in Cardiology. He is habitual referee of research projects in national calls. He is the representative of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia in 2 international proyects: “Proyecto 6x4 Unión Europea-América Latina”, “TEMPUS: Biomedical Center of Excellence”. Currently, he is the responsible for the post-grade program in Technologies for Health and Wellnes and director of the master in biomedical engineering in the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. Recently he has been appointed representative of the university by the Valencian Counsel of Universities.
